Nestled in the countryside of northwest Austin, Westminster Glen is a master-planned community that spans 250 acres with views of Texas Hill Country and Lake Austin. The subdivision is located off of City Park Road near 2222 and Loop 360, and the main entrance sits on Westminster Glen Avenue.
The area is known for its picturesque environment and spacious living. Each home sits on a lot of one acre or more, and many are surrounded by large trees and well-manicured lawns. It’s not uncommon to see deer, birds, and other wildlife roaming nearby the neighborhood. Westminster Glen offers residents privacy and security, while still being just a short drive – 13 miles – from downtown Austin.
All residents of the neighborhood are members of the Westminster Glen Homeowner’s Association. It requires a yearly fee to cover things like maintenance, facility up-keep, and community events.
The subdivision is ideally located within minutes of several places to enjoy the outdoors. Emma Long Metropolitan Park is three miles away on the shores of Lake Austin. It’s a popular place for families, as it has a swimming area and sandy beach, two volleyball courts, picnic areas, hiking and mountain biking trails, and more than 60 camping sites. The River Place Country Club also makes its home in the neighborhood. The 18-hole course was designed by Tom Kite and gives members access to tennis courts, a fitness center, daycare, a café, and two restaurants. In 2006, it was rated the “Best Family Club in Austin" by Avid Golfer Magazine.
Children living In Westminster Glen will enjoy the well-respected schools in the Leander Independent School District. This includes River Place Elementary, Laura W. Bush Elementary, Canyon Ridge Middle School, and Cedar Park High School.
Residents of Westminster Glen won’t have to worry about going far for groceries or other necessities. Lake Hills Grocery & Meat Market, H.E.B. Pharmacy, and Jester Market are all within three miles of the neighborhood. Davenport Village, a 60,000-square-foot shopping center is also only five miles away on Loop 360 and Westlake Drive.
